    Description

You're bidding on a circa 1942, WWII-period war bonds poster - 17" x 23" - depicting a mocking scene of the Nazi braintrust. It depicts a swooning Hitler, saying "It is good to hear Americans are now pudding 10% of Der pay into Bunds!" - meanwhile, a tiny Joseph Gobbels stands on his tippy-toes and whispers to a distressed-looking Hermann Goring, "Herman - you tell him it iss Bonds, not Bunds!" Tag line at the bottom states "For Victory- put at least 10% of every pay into War Bonds!"
NOTE - poster has some condition issues - primarily a chunk missing from the top-left corner. Also, some edge chips and tears, including a tear into image area left-center edge, small tears into image area at bottom-right and bottom left corner, and a partial dog-ear tear at bottom-left corner tip. Some wrinkle/crease along the left side, and a kind of square ghosting over the whole of the poster, probably from something sitting on top of it and exposing the sides to the environment for a long time - SOLD AS IS AS FOUND.
All that said, a rare poster to find in any condition - still nice color and graphic appeal, deserving of conservation/re-framing-matting. Please review photos carefully to make your own determination of overall condition and appeal, and don't hesitate to ask any questions prior to bidding - thanks for looking!
