Description
This is an example of a coin/medal where the item looks exactly like the photo! The light toning around the periphery is just as it shows up in the scan and the overall brightness, strong and even strike, and nice uncirculated color in the photo are exactly what you'll get in the medal/so-called dollar you receive. We always try to provide information in our text to support the photos and let Ebay viewers know exactly what the actual color and tone are if not exactly as in the photo. Unfortunately, the two are not always a 100% match. Sometimes copper coins are very tough to capture the exact color and tone. Silver is a bit easier and tends to look just like the real thing!
You can't beat the opening price of 99 cents but we do hope the medal receives a few more bids or you can always use a very inexpensive Buy it Now price of just .99.
Thanks for looking and please ask if you don't see what you're looking for on Ebay. For our upcoming September sale we'll have a lot of really terrific world's fair medals starting at modest prices in Ebay auctions as well as more than 200 with Buy it Now and no auction option.
We've been working on the sale long and hard and finally have in hand all the items for the sale, and now have to do a LOT of photography. The overall sale probably will have 250+ lots and perhaps 350 actual individual items. Besides exposition medals we will have a great cross section of paper and 3D items and they'll begin with the very first world's fair in London at the first Crystal Palace in 1851. Also in the sale will be a nice selection of gem BU coins and non-expo medals (many great Civil War lots) and other Americana. Please don't hesitate to ask for advance information so you can see just how many items appeal to you. This will be our largest sale we've held to date beginning with our first online sale more than 23 years ago.
