    Description

You are acquiring the pictured HK-Listed Socalled dollar medal
listed by Messers. Hibler and Kappen in their book titled "So-Called Dollars" as number 315.
This meal does have staining in areas which coexist with large areas of Highly Reflective Proof-like surfaces.  It was issued as an official issue of the Saint Louis World's Fair held in 1904.  For years, Portland, ORegon hosted the original carousel from this Fair which, when it was installed and put into service was the World's Largest Merry Go Round.  It is interesting to consider whether a fair rider who had just bought this medal spilled some drink upon the surfaces when this large, fast Carousel took off on another ride.
It's entirely possible and fun to think about.
This medal is going to be assigned a mint state grade if submitted to a professional grading service.
