Vintage Beautifully Hand Carved Large Wood Eagle Taking Flight Stunning Carving!

Offering a large hand carved wood Eagle taking flight. This is beautifully hand carved with amazing detail to the feathers and talons. It is not signed but obviously from an experienced skilled carver. I believe it was carved sometime in the 1970's or later. I don't know what wood was used, but it appears to be a hard wood and has beautiful color variations. It is carved from a single piece of wood, nothing is attached. It measures an impressive 16" tall and the base is approx 7" x 10". It does have some damage, a feather on each wing is missing their tips, one feather tip is reglued, (could have done a better job), and one feather has a series of splits in it. The splitting is at the tip and could easily be reglued and would not be noticed once it was. There is one small chip from above one eye. (See all photos) In spite of these issues, this Eagle displays beautifully! You are buying this as found (York Co. Pa estate) and as described and show in the photos.
